This durian ice cream is heavenly. No ice cream maker or churning required! It’s easy and quick, but the results are awesome. If you love durian, you should give it a try. It’s a great dessert to beat the heat.
♥ Ingredients:
Makes about 1.5 lbs (680 g) ice cream
¾ cup (210 g) frozen durian, thawed
2 large eggs
⅓ cup (67 g ) sugar
½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
¼ tsp salt
1) Discard all the durian seeds, add milk. Set on medium heat. Stir and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 1 minute then remove from the stove. Set aside and let it cool.

- No need of cooking if using fresh durian, only blend fresh durian with milk until smooth.
- Make sure the egg is cooked if you make ice cream for small kids or pregnant women (the temperature is at least 145℉ (63℃))
- Be careful not to over whip. If the cream starts to separate, it won't work for this recipe.
